BENGALURU:
Five KSRP constables who were recently on duty at Padarayanapura ward, which is a containment zone, have tested positive for Covid-19. Their test report came on Tuesday and they have been admitted to a hospital. Around 30 of their contacts have been quarantined.
Speaking to the media, KSRP ADGP Alok Kumar said, “The 5 Covid-19 positive staff are in quarantine.The list of their primary and secondary contacts is being readied.” He added that if KSRP personnel visit other districts for personal reasons, they should get tested at their own expense.
Kumar further tweeted: “Covid has struck even Bangalore KSRP Battalion despite our precautions. Five young Constable have tested positive. Measures being taken to contain the spread. Their contacts have been quarantined . Visited and gave a pep talk to them.Covid is infectious but not always fatal.”
