Boy had gone to meet grandparents, got stuck after lockdown
BENGALURU:
In a real-life flashback to ‘Home Alone’, the Hollywood hit of yesteryear, a 5-year-old boy flew unaccompanied all the way from New Delhi to Bengaluru to be reunited with his parents. His mother was at Kempegowda International Airport to receive him.
As per sources, the boy had gone to Delhi to visit his grandparents and got stuck after the nationwide lockdown came into effect in March.
The boy was cleared as a special case after his parents appealed to the authorities to allow him to fly back to Bengaluru and is a resident of JP Nagar.
Vihaan Sharma’s mother told reporters that he was coming to Bengaluru after three months.
The Bangalore International Airport Limited, which manages the KIA, joins many others to greet the boy.
“Welcome home, Vihaan! #BLR Airport is constantly working towards enabling the safe return of all our passengers,” the BIAL tweeted.
