BENGALURU:
The Central government’s list of 1,500 Tablighi Jamaat returnees to Karnataka had come as a shock to the state government, but there is a ray of hope as 623 of them have tested negative.
The government’s Covid-19 ‘briefer’, Primary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar, told the media on Tuesday, “Till today around 920 Tablighi Jamaat returnees have been screened. The samples were sent for testing and 623 of them do not have any symptoms. Reports of the remainder are awaited.”
