In a bid to mitigate leopard attacks, authorities in Pune’s Junnar region have deployed advanced technologies such as AI-enabled cameras and solar-powered electric fencing. Over the past year, nine people lost their lives in leopard encounters, prompting forest officials to ramp up preventative measures in the area.
