Bengaluru: All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Mallikarjun Kharge was admitted to MS Ramaiah Hospital in Bengaluru on Monday for a routine health check-up following mild breathing discomfort.
According to hospital sources, Kharge’s health parameters — including blood pressure, sugar, and lipid profile — are normal. Doctors have confirmed that his condition is stable and that he is likely to be discharged on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited Kharge at the hospital today to inquire about his health. Speaking to reporters afterward, the CM assured that there is “nothing serious” and that Kharge was admitted only as a precaution.
“Kharge ji is alright. He came for a normal routine check-up. All parameters are normal, and he will be discharged tomorrow,” said Siddaramaiah, stressing that the Congress President was in good spirits and spoke with him comfortably.
Kharge’s son, Priyank Kharge, also took to social media to confirm that his father was doing well and undergoing a standard medical evaluation.
Doctors noted that due to Kharge’s hectic travel schedule across the country, he required short rest and observation. The 82-year-old leader will take a brief break before resuming his political engagements.
