Bagalkot/Bengaluru: The district administration has imposed a ban on the entry of Kaneri’s Adrushya Kadasiddeshwara Swamiji into Bagalkot district following his alleged derogatory remarks against Lingayat seers. The move comes days after a similar restriction was enforced in Vijayapura district.
According to official sources, the Bagalkot Deputy Commissioner has issued a formal notice to the seer based at Kaneri Math in Bilagi taluk. The notice specifically prohibits his entry into Bagalkot district and warns him against visiting the Chikkalagundi Mallikarjuna Math.
Tahsildar Vinod personally handed over the official notice to the seer at the math located in Chikkalagundi village. The administration cited potential disturbance to law and order as the reason for the restriction.
“The district authorities have directed that Kadasiddeshwara Swamiji should not remain within Bagalkot limits and must return to his original place,” the notice stated.
