Ballari / Bengaluru: In the wake of the recent Ballari incident, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was briefed on the developing law-and-order situation by Ballari district in-charge minister Zameer Ahmed Khan and local MLA Bharat Reddy at the Jindal Airport in Toranagallu on Saturday.
The ministers and the legislator provided the Chief Minister with a detailed account of the incident and the prevailing situation in the district, outlining developments on the ground and the administrative response so far.
Earlier, the Chief Minister had also sought inputs from senior police officials, including Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order) Hithendra, Ballari Range Inspector General Vartika Katiyar, and Davanagere Range Inspector General Ravikante Gowda, to assess the sequence of events and the measures taken to restore normalcy.
The Chief Minister arrived at the Jindal Airport by helicopter from Sindhanur and later departed for Bengaluru on a special flight after completing the review.
The state government is closely monitoring the situation, with top political and police leadership remaining engaged to ensure law and order is maintained in Ballari district.
