A showdown over press freedom emerged Monday when the Associated Press (AP) sought a federal court’s intervention to restore its journalists’ access to the White House. The AP was barred by President Donald Trump’s administration for continuing to use the term ‘Gulf of Mexico’ despite Trump’s executive order to rename it Gulf of America.
