BENGALURU:
The composting unit built by the Industrial Township Authority of Electronics City is set to be replicated in all wards in Bengaluru. Speaking to the media after a visit to the composting unit on Tuesday, BBMP Mayor Gautam Kumar said the plant turns waste into manure in 24 hours, as against a month otherwise.
Electronic City’s Industrial Township Authority has set up a Command Control Centre which oversees solid waste management, street lighting, water, traffic congestion, administration and smart parking.
MLA Satish Reddy, Deputy Mayor Ramamohan Raju, Superintendent Engineer (SWM) Basavaraju Kabade and Chief Executive Officer Kari Rama NS were among those present.
