Bengaluru: In a tough message to revenue defaulters, Bengaluru Central City Corporation Commissioner Rajendra Cholan has directed officials to identify properties with pending property tax dues and initiate locking action if arrears are not cleared despite issuing notices.
Chairing a meeting of Heads of Departments from various divisions at the BMRDA Office, the Commissioner instructed the Revenue Department to prepare a detailed list of defaulters within the Corporation limits, serve statutory notices, and proceed with property locking in cases of continued non-payment.
“There will be no leniency for willful defaulters. Revenue collection is critical for civic administration,” the Commissioner stressed.
