BENGALURU:
A resident of Sudhamanagar, Venkataraman, has been slapped with a hefty fine of Rs 3.20 lakh for repeatedly flouting traffic regulations, as reported by the city’s traffic police.
The Honda Activa scooter owned by Venkataraman has been involved in over 300 instances of traffic violations. These violations include riding without a helmet, disregarding traffic signals, driving against the flow of traffic, and using a mobile phone while operating the scooter in various areas of SR Nagar and Wilson Garden area.


On Saturday, the traffic police visited Venkataraman’s residence and demanded payment of the fine, which amounted to Rs 3.20 lakh. However, Venkataraman claimed that he was unable to afford such a hefty sum and suggested that the police seize the scooter instead.
In response, the police cautioned him against retaining ownership of the scooter and urged him to either pay the fine or face legal consequences. A police officer confirmed that a notice has been issued to the two-wheeler rider who repeatedly violated traffic regulations.
