Bengaluru: The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has released the ward-wise draft electoral rolls for elections to its five city municipal corporations, listing a total of 88,91,411 voters, State Election Commissioner G.S. Sangreshi and GBA Special Commissioner (Elections) R. Ramachandran, IAS, announced on Saturday.
Speaking to the media after the publication of the draft rolls, Ramachandran said the GBA jurisdiction comprises five city corporations — Bengaluru Central, North, South, East and West — covering a total of 369 wards.
The draft electoral rolls have been prepared with October 1, 2025, as the qualifying date, and include 45,69,193 male voters, 43,20,583 female voters, and 1,635 voters in the ‘other’ category, he said.
Claims and Objections Window
Voters can submit claims and objections from January 20 to February 3, 2026. During this period, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will conduct door-to-door verification to ensure accuracy of the electoral rolls.
The disposal of claims and objections will be carried out between February 4 and February 18, 2026, following which the final electoral rolls will be published on March 16, 2026.
Ward-Wise Voter Distribution
Among the 369 wards, Ward No. 23 of Bengaluru West City Corporation has the highest number of voters at 49,530, while Ward No. 16 of Bengaluru East City Corporation has the lowest voter count at 10,926.
A total of 8,044 polling stations will be set up across the GBA limits.

Citizens have been urged to verify their names and details in the electoral rolls and submit corrections, if required, within the stipulated period.

Applications Through Prescribed Forms
As per the Greater Bengaluru Administration (Voter Registration) Rules, 2025, eligible voters can submit applications through designated officials using the following forms:
- Form-4: Inclusion of name
- Form-5: Objection to inclusion
- Form-6: Correction of details
- Form-7: Change of address
- Form-8: Deletion of name
Appeal to First-Time Voters
State Election Commissioner G.S. Sangreshi appealed to all eligible citizens, especially those who have completed 18 years of age, to ensure their names are included in the electoral rolls.
Registered and recognised political parties have also been requested to appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs) for every polling station to assist election officials in ensuring complete voter registration.
The meeting was attended by municipal commissioners, senior election officials, tahsildars, representatives of political parties, and other concerned officers.
