Bengaluru: In a significant boost to rail connectivity for Andhra–Karnataka border regions, the South Western Railway has announced that the Yesvantpur–Kacheguda–Yesvantpur Vande Bharat Express will halt at Hindupur railway station on an experimental basis starting December 27, 2025.
The Railway Board has accorded approval for a two-minute stoppage for Train No. 20703/20704 Vande Bharat Express, aiming to provide faster and more convenient travel options for passengers from the Hindupur region.
Halt Timings at Hindupur
According to the official release, the train’s arrival and departure timings at Hindupur station will be as follows:
- Train No. 20703 Kacheguda–Yesvantpur Vande Bharat Express
➤ Arrives at 12:08 p.m.
➤ Departs at 12:10 p.m. - Train No. 20704 Yesvantpur–Kacheguda Vande Bharat Express
➤ Arrives at 03:48 p.m.
➤ Departs at 03:50 p.m.
Railway officials said the additional stoppage is expected to enhance passenger convenience, reduce travel time, and strengthen rail connectivity for commuters travelling to and from Hindupur.
The announcement was issued by Dr. Manjunath Kanamadi, Chief Public Relations Officer, South Western Railway, Hubballi.
