BENGALURU:
The BJP, Congress and JDS candidates are likely to be unanimously elected to the state legislative council.
All the candidates submitted their nomination papers on the last day for nominations on Thursday.
MTB Nagaraj, R Shankar, Sunil Valapure and Pratap Sinha Nayak filed their papers in the presence of state BJP President Nalin Kumar Katil and Deputy Chief Minister Govind Kajol.
Congress candidates B.K. Hariprasad and Naseer Ahmed were accompanied by former chief minister Siddaramaiah, DK Shivakumar and others.

JDS candidate Inchara Govindaraju filed his papers in the presence of party leader HD Kumaraswamy and Basavaraj Horatti.
Yadavanahalli PC Krishnegowda filed his nomination as a independent candidate. As Krishnegowda’s nomination papers were not signed by any MLA as proposer, his papers are likely to be rejected.
Once his nomination is rejected, it wil make way for the remaining candidates to be get elected unanimously.
