BENGALURU:
To ease the lockdown woes of the poor and migrants, the Seva Abhiya n cell of the BJP’s North Bengaluru unit has so far distributed 7.3 lakh food packets and 1.8 lakh foodgrain kits.
Union Fertilizers Minister DV Sadananda Gowda on his Facebook page posted: “BJP Seva Abhiyan in Bengaluru. In the wake of the corona outbreak, BJP karyakartas have undertaken relief work on a massive scale in Bengaluru North.”
“As per the report compiled by Narayana, party president of the Bengaluru North unit, 13,659 karyakartas are providing dedicated service. Hats off to them.”
“Also, our karyakartas have undertaken sanitisation work in all the wards. Besides, they have distributed masks, sanitizers and medicines to 1.3 lakh citizens so far.”
“BSY Canteen, a free meal outlet, has been set up in Dasarahalli Mandal.
Apart from all this, our proud karyakartas have been contributing to PM-CARES and the CM’s relief fund. So far, 6,767 of them have donated amounts ranging from a few hundred to several thousand,” he added.
