The town of Byrnihat in Meghalaya has been declared the world’s most polluted city, according to the 2024 World Air Quality Report by IQAir. Following the announcement, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma expressed his concern and assured the public that the government is actively working to rectify the situation.
