Even in a time of coronavirus, loan sharks continue to exploit the financial woes of the common man. Recently, CCB sleuths raided the home and office of an 80-year-old private financier.
According to Joint Commissioner Sandeep Patil, Babulal Jain, his son Chetan and his brother-in-law lend money at extortionate interest rates (‘Meter Baddi’) in the city’s VV Puram.

During the raid, bank cheques and property documents were found.
A complaint has been lodged at the Cottonpet police station.
