Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday lauded the Karnataka Police for their dedication, discipline and relentless efforts in ensuring peaceful, safe and well-managed New Year celebrations across the state.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) in both Kannada and English, the Chief Minister said that the absence of untoward incidents during large-scale celebrations reflected the professionalism and service-oriented approach of the police force.

“As Karnataka welcomed the New Year, I commend the dedication, discipline and tireless efforts of our Karnataka Police in ensuring peaceful, safe and well-managed celebrations across the state,” Siddaramaiah said.
He noted that the police force’s commitment to public safety demonstrated the true spirit of public service, particularly at a time when lakhs of people took to streets, public spaces, temples, and entertainment hubs to usher in the New Year.
The Chief Minister also expressed his gratitude to police personnel and their families, acknowledging the sacrifices made by officers who remained on duty while others celebrated with their loved ones.
