“As Karnataka welcomed the New Year, I commend the dedication, discipline and tireless efforts of our Karnataka Police in ensuring peaceful, safe and well-managed celebrations across the state,” Siddaramaiah said.

He noted that the police force’s commitment to public safety demonstrated the true spirit of public service, particularly at a time when lakhs of people took to streets, public spaces, temples, and entertainment hubs to usher in the New Year.

The Chief Minister also expressed his gratitude to police personnel and their families, acknowledging the sacrifices made by officers who remained on duty while others celebrated with their loved ones.

Extending New Year wishes, Siddaramaiah said he hoped 2026 would bring happiness, peace and prosperity to all Kannadigas, while urging citizens to continue supporting law enforcement efforts to maintain public order.
