Chikkamagaluru: More than 25 college students were hospitalized after a wasp attack in Chikkamagaluru on Thursday. The incident occurred at Mountain View College during lunchtime when a student threw a stone at a beehive, provoking the wasps.
As a result, the wasps swarmed and stung multiple students, leading to their hospitalization at the district hospital. One student sustained serious injuries and was transferred to a hospital in Hassan for advanced medical treatment.
Upon learning about the attack, parents rushed to the hospital to be with their children. Authorities are monitoring the situation and providing necessary medical care to the affected students.
The college administration has advised students to exercise caution around insect nests to prevent such incidents in the future.
