Bengaluru sees 1,975 fresh cases out of 3,176 statewide
BENGALURU:
For the second straight day, Karnataka has recorded 87 deaths while the Covid- infected figures have reached another high in both the state and Bengaluru, with 3,176 and 1,975 fresh cases respectively.
Bengaluru has a major share of the casualties at 60 out of 87.


As per the bulletin relased by the Karnataka Health and Family Welfare department, the state’s death toll has now swollen to 928.
Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar, while briefing the media on Wednesday evening, said that despite the positive numbers going up, the state also witnessed 1,076 discharges on the same day. Till date, the state has seen 18,466 discharges.

Karnataka has 47,253 positive cases, of which 27,823 are active cases. Bangalore has the highest number of active cases in the state at 17,051 cases — which has forced the state government to impose a lockdown in Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural districts.
Though Bengaluru Rural on Wednesday reported only 10 positive cases, it has an overall 356 active cases.
