City’s raja kaluves will have greenery, cycle tracks and pedestrian trails: BSY
BENGALURU:
Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Saturday expressed the hope that the Rs 30,695-crore Metro phase 2 project in the city will be completed by 2024.
Speaking at the I-Day fete here, the CM said 110 acres of land near Byappanahalli Metro station would be beautified with a variety of flora. A food court, traditional cottage units and a children’s park would also be set up there.

He said work has been speeded up on the city’s suburban rail project.
Yediyurappa said the 400 km of primary canals in the city would be beautified with greenery and would also have bicycle tracks and walkways by the side. Initially, the canal from Dharmanbudhi lake to Bellandur lake will be taken up under the project.
