Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday chaired a crucial review meeting at Vidhana Soudha to address challenges in implementing the Scheduled Caste (SC) internal reservation policy, and directed officials to ensure that no community is denied its rightful share in the roster system.
“All grievances regarding the implementation of the internal reservation must be heard carefully. The roster allocation must be done in a fair and transparent manner, ensuring that no caste or community faces injustice,” the Chief Minister instructed senior officials.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the Cabinet’s earlier decisions on internal reservation must be implemented effectively across departments.
Guidelines and Recruitment Clarity Issued
During the meeting, officials informed that detailed guidelines have been released on how caste certificates should be issued to eligible candidates.
Following the lifting of the recruitment ban, the upper age limit for government job applicants has been temporarily increased to accommodate affected candidates.
