The Israeli military has confirmed the killing of a senior Hamas leader, Muhammad Shaheen, in a precision strike in southern Lebanon’s Sidon area. Shaheen, reportedly head of Hamas’s operations department in Lebanon, was implicated in orchestrating Iranian-backed attacks on Israeli citizens from Lebanese soil.
