
BENGALURU:
Bengaluru reported another spike of 19,637 positive case with 143 deaths while Karnataka witnessed 35,024 cases with 270 deaths on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Bengaluru had seen all-time high of 22,596 covid-19 positive cases while state had also reported another spike of 39,047 cases.
Karnataka’s case fatality rate is 0.77% while state’s positivity rate now stands at 19.92%.


The day also saw 6,128 patients getting discharged after recovery in Bengaluru while Karnataka saw 14,142 discharges.
Cumulatively 14,74,846 COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed in the state, which includes 15,306 deaths and 11,10,025 discharges,the Health department said in a bulletin.
Out of 3,49,496 active cases, Bengaluru has highest 2,37,518 active cases, while 2,431 are in Intensive Care Units.
Among 270 deaths reported on Thursday, 143 were from Bengaluru Urban, Ballari (16), Mysuru (12), Kalaburagi (11), Tumakuru, Hassan and Mandya (9), Yadagiri (8), Chamarajanagara (7), Haveri (6), followed by other districts.
Mysuru, with 1,219 cases was behind Bengaluru Urban, Tumakuru 1,195, Dakshina Kannada 1,175, Kalaburagi 957, Mandya 939, Ballari 896 followed by others.
