Baby girl taken away from mother and fed powdered milk
BENGALURU:
A 34-year-old Covid-19 patient and resident of Padarayanapura gave birth to a baby girl in Vani Vilas Hospital late on Friday night.
The baby, weighing 3 kg, was immediately removed from the infected mother and instead of the first breast feed was given powdered milk. The baby’s swab samples were taken as a precautionary measure.
The mother has been shifted to the nearby Covid19-designated Victoria Hospital while the baby is in the isolation ward.
