“Crack Down on Bogus Khatas on Government Land”: MLA Krishnappa Directs Officials in Vijayanagar Constituency Review Meet

Bengaluru, Nov. 29: MLA Krishnappa instructed the Bengaluru West City Corporation to launch strict action against bogus khatas created on government-owned properties across the Vijayanagar Assembly Constituency.

Speaking at a review meeting held in the corporation’s conference hall to discuss constituency-related issues, the MLA emphasised that officials must respond swiftly to the concerns raised by residents. He stressed that impersonation, manipulation, and creation of fraudulent khatas on government land must be curbed immediately, and that the influence of middlemen in revenue offices must be eliminated.

Property Tax Revision Must Be Sped Up

Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K.V. informed the meeting that the revision of property tax must be completed without delay. He made it clear that serious action would be taken against revenue inspectors and revenue collectors who fail to discharge their duties responsibly.

Upgrade CCTV and Monitor Unauthorized Businesses

The CCTV cameras earlier installed by the Corporation must be upgraded, and live feeds should be provided to concerned police stations. The MLA also instructed strict surveillance of unauthorized trade licenses and unlicensed hospitals operating within the constituency.
