Covid-19 is breathing down the necks of the city police as as 2 cops tested positive on Friday.
The latest cases take the infection count among the Bengalure police to 38.
A 32-year-old head constable of the Cubbon Park station and a 40-year old constable from the Ashoka Nagar Traffic Station are the latest victims of the dreaded virus.
The Cubbon Park station’s head constable was tested three days ago and was reported positive on Friday. He has been hospitalized and 7 primary contacts have been quarantined. The station was sealed on Saturday.
The Ashok Nagar traffic constable has been hospitalized and his contacts quarantined. It is learnt that the infected constable was on vacation for a few days.
Speaking to the media, Central Crime Branch DCP Kuldeep Jain said his office has been shut for two days and they are managing their work from a car.
