BENGALURU:
Liquor sales on the second day of wine stores reopening in Karnataka hit a high of Rs 197 crore.
As per highly placed sources in the Excise department, Tuesday saw sales of 36.37 lakh litres of Indian Made Liquor and 7.02 lakh litres of beer.
There are a total of 22 KSBCL godowns in Bengaluru and all liquor stores will be able to replenish their stocks from Wednesday. From the KSBCL godown in Yeshwanthpur, 4,000 cases of IML and 1,550 cases of beer were supplied to 28 CL2 shops in Yeshwanthpur at an estimated cost of Rs 2.50 crore.
On the first day of wine stores reopening on Monday, Rs 45 crore worth liquor was sold.
