Bengaluru, February 2: Dr V Ram Prasath Manohar, Senior IAS officer officially assumed charge as the Managing Director of (KPTCL) on Sunday.
According to a State Government order, Dr. Manohar has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Managing Director, KPTCL, while continuing to serve as the Chairman of the (BWSSB).
The charge was formally handed over by Pankaj Kumar Pandey, who served as the outgoing Managing Director of KPTCL.
Dr. Manohar’s appointment comes at a crucial time for Karnataka’s power transmission sector, which is currently focused on infrastructure strengthening, grid stability, and meeting the growing electricity demand across the state. His dual role is expected to ensure coordinated administrative oversight across key urban infrastructure and energy institutions.
