Bengaluru, January 29: In a move aimed at strengthening voter facilitation and grievance redressal, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has introduced an online service titled “Book a Call to BLO”, enabling voters to directly connect with their respective Booth Level Officers (BLOs) for resolving voter list–related issues.
The Bengaluru North City Corporation, in a press release, said the initiative allows voters to conveniently address grievances linked to electoral rolls, polling station details, and related corrections without visiting election offices in person.
Under this system, voters can raise a call request through the Voter Service Portal (VSP) available on the official Election Commission website eci.in. Once a request is submitted, a Reference ID is generated, following which the concerned BLO will contact the voter on their registered mobile number and resolve the issue.
The facility has been introduced as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) – 2025 pre-activity, and officials have urged voters to make maximum use of this digital service to ensure error-free electoral rolls.
How Voters Can Use the ‘Book a Call’ Service
- Visit the official Election Commission of India website: eci.in
- Click on Voter Service Portal (VSP)
- Select “Book a Call to BLO”
- Submit the Call Request to BLO
- Note the Reference ID generated after submission
- The Booth Level Officer will call the voter on the registered mobile number
Official Appeal
The Bengaluru North City Corporation has appealed to all eligible voters to actively use the ‘Book a Call’ facility during the ongoing revision process to ensure timely correction of voter details and smooth conduct of future elections.
