Bengaluru: With SSLC and PUC examinations approaching, Karnataka Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa on Monday announced the detailed exam schedule, student strength, security arrangements, free transport facilities and stringent action against question paper leaks.
PUC examinations for 2026 will be held from February 28 to March 17, with a total of 7,10,363 students appearing. This includes 6,46,801 fresh candidates, 50,540 repeaters and 13,022 private candidates. The exams will be conducted across 1,217 centres in 5,174 colleges and schools. Provisional results are scheduled to be declared on April 7. PUC Exam-2 will be conducted from April 25 to May 9, with results expected on May 22.
SSLC examinations will take place from March 18 to April 2, with 9,02,889 students appearing, including 8,12,855 fresh candidates, 62,845 repeaters and 27,189 private candidates. The exams will be conducted in 2,871 centres across 15,941 schools. Results are scheduled to be announced on April 24. SSLC Exam-2 will be held from May 18 to May 25, and results are expected on June 1, 2026.

The Minister stated that strict vigilance has been enforced to prevent question paper leaks and misinformation on social media. Accounts spreading false claims or attempting to sell leaked papers will be identified and legal action will be initiated. Police support has also been sought to ensure smooth and fair conduct of examinations.
To facilitate students during the exam period, free travel will be provided to SSLC and PUC students in KSRTC and BMTC buses to and from examination centres.
The Education Department reiterated that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure examinations are conducted in a transparent, secure and student-friendly manner across the state.
