Venkateshappa, a three-time Congress MLA from Bangarpet, tragically passed away on Friday night due to a heart attack. He was 73 years old.
On Friday night, Venkateshappa experienced chest pain and was immediately rushed to RL Jalappa hospital. Despite receiving prompt medical attention, he unfortunately did not respond to treatment and succumbed to his condition. The last rites were conducted in his hometown of Bhuvanahalli in Bangarpet taluk on Saturday.
Venkateshappa had served as the representative for the former Bethamangala Assembly segment in 1978, 1983, and 1999. Just a few days prior to his passing, he had celebrated his birthday on November 9. Venkateshappa is survived by his wife, daughter, and two sons.
This news of Venkateshappa’s sudden demise has left the community in shock and mourning. His contributions to the political landscape will be remembered, and his absence will be deeply felt.
