BENGALURU:
For the second consecutive weekend in July, the entire state will observe a lockdown from 8 pm on Saturday till 5 am on Monday.
The move has greater significance for Bengaluru, as the state capital has been seeing a surge in Covid cases in recent weeks.
Section 144 remains in force statewide, and cases will be filed against persons and vehicles out on the streets without any valid reason. The only exception will be for emergency and essential services.
All flyovers, major roads and underpasses, public transport, hotels, restaurants, tourist spots, malls and shrines will be shut.
