3-year-old male giraffe’s neck got caught in an obstruction, leading to asphyxiation
BENGALURU:
A three-year-old male giraffe died due to asphyxiation at Bannerghatta Biological Park on Sunday afternoon.
“We regret to inform that male giraffe ‘Yadunandhan’, aged around three and a half years, died on 19th September 2021 afternoon at Bengaluru’s Bannerghatta Biological Park,” said Executive Director Vanishree Vipin Singh in a press release.
The animal accidentally entered the veterinary treatment area and its neck got caught in an obstruction, leading to asphyxiation, she added.
