Gruha Jyothi: 55000 registration on first day
BENGALURU:
The registration process of the Gruha Jyothi scheme, providing up to 200 Units of free electricity to all residential households in Karnataka began on Sunday (June 18) across the state.
Total 55000 consumers have registered to the scheme by 6 pm on Sunday.
Registration to the scheme is done on the Seva Sindhu portal under a special custom-made page (https://sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov.in).
The E-governance department has made the registration process very simple. The consumer have to enter the customer ID of the electricity bill, their Aadhar number, and mobile number.
The registration simultaneously started at Karnataka One, Grama One and Bengaluru One centers across the state. There was a good response from the consumers to register for the scheme.
Inspite it being Sunday, officials of all ESCOMs were in the field, supervising the registration process and made it hasslefree.
The Energy Department hereby again clarifies that no documents or records are needed for registration for Gruha Jyothi scheme and consumer can register using his own mobile, laptop or in any internet café.
