Hassan: The Hassan Ganeshotsava tragedy has claimed yet another life, raising the total death toll to 10 victims. Chandan, a student from Shivayyan Koppal in Hassan, who was critically injured and declared brain dead, succumbed to his injuries at HIMS Hospital.
Chandan had been participating in the Ganesh procession when the runaway canter truck accident occurred, mowing down devotees and students celebrating the festival. His demise has plunged his family into deep grief, with relatives wailing in despair over the shocking loss.
The tragic accident has left an entire community mourning, with residents questioning how a festival of joy turned into a deadly disaster.
Relatives expressed anguish, saying their son had gone out to celebrate Ganeshotsava but returned lifeless, marking it as the biggest tragedy for their family.
