The decision has been taken to expand access to advanced healthcare services for scheme beneficiaries, especially in cases requiring specialised treatment. Patients will be admitted through proper referral procedures as prescribed under AB-Ark guidelines.
Health department officials stated that the move aims to reduce pressure on government hospitals while ensuring timely and quality medical care for economically weaker sections covered under the scheme.
The approval will be valid as per the government’s notified terms and operational guidelines under the AB-Ark framework.
