Bengaluru: To accommodate the surge in passenger demand, the East Coast Railway has announced the extension of two major special weekly train services — the Visakhapatnam–Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru–Visakhapatnam Weekly Express Special and the Bhubaneswar–Yesvantpur–Bhubaneswar Weekly Express Special.
Visakhapatnam–SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Express Special Extended
Train No. 08581 Visakhapatnam–SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Express Special, which operates on Sundays, has been extended from 7 December 2025 to 28 December 2025.
Train No. 08582 SMVT Bengaluru–Visakhapatnam Weekly Express Special, running on Mondays, is extended from 8 December 2025 to 29 December 2025.
Bhubaneswar–Yesvantpur Weekly Express Special Extended
Train No. 02811 Bhubaneswar–Yesvantpur Weekly Express Special, operating on Saturdays, will run from 6 December 2025 to 27 December 2025 under the extension.
Train No. 02812 Yesvantpur–Bhubaneswar Weekly Express Special, running on Mondays, has been extended from 8 December 2025 to 29 December 2025.
Four Additional Trips in Each Direction
Each pair of trains will operate four extra trips in both directions during the extended period. All services will continue with the existing timings, halts, and coach composition, ensuring consistency for passengers.
