6-year-old, 90-year-old catch virus from first spreader
BENGALURU:
The number of Covid-19 cases in Hongasandra ward has gone up by 4, taking the total to 30 late on Saturday. Earlier in the day, five positive cases were reported.
All the infected patients are the primary and secondary contacts of patient 419 — a native of Bihar who was infected with Covid-19 on Thursday.
As per the media bulletin released by the health department, a 6-year-old male is also infected as he was the the closest secondary contact of patient 419.
This apart, a 90-year-old male, a 27-year-old female and a 52-year-old female are also secondary contacts of the man and all of them have been admitted at the designated hospital.
