Netizens unhappy as he handled Covid issues brilliantly
BENGALURU:
IAS officer Captain Manivannan P, hitherto Principal Secretary to both the Labour Department and the Information and Public Relations Department, was relieved of both posts on Monday and is currently without any posting.
Sources said Manivannan is suffering from a throat allergy and is unable to speak, but he was seen attending a meeting in Shivamogga on Monday.
The relieving orders were issued by the Under-Secretary, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms.
The transfer of Manivannan has not gone down well with netizens and the public in general.,

Covid-19 relief measures have been handled brilliantly by Manivannan and his team. His efforts to get ration kits, wages and medical aid to thousands of stranded labourers were lauded by citizens. He was also one of the IAS officers who was active on social media, constantly addressing issues related to his department.
