Senior IAS officer and Additional Chief Secretary in the government P Ravikumar and his 80-year-old mother have pledged to donate their eyes.
Ravikumar and his mother Sulochana went for a regular eye check-up at the state-run Minto Hospital where both made the pledge to donate their eyes.
Speaking to TheBengaluruLive, Ravikumar said, “My wife Suparna had already pledged her eyes, and I and my mother decided to do the same recently when we had gone for a routine check-up.”
Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar tweeted, “ACS P Ravikumar and his mother have pledged their eyes at Minto Hospital yesterday…It is an inspiration for all of us. Let us pledge to give light to those who need sight.”
