It was business as usual for Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Tuesday, as he reviewed the status of ventilators in a conference call with officials. He was speaking from Manipal Hospital where he is being treated for Covid-19.
According to the officials, 681 ventilators have been received from the Centre under PM-CARES. Of these, 335 have been installed statewide, including 166 in Bengaluru.
Another 1,279 ventilators allotted to Karnataka by the Centre will be received during this month.
The CM directed that all these ventilators should be installed and operating staff appointed at the earliest.
He directed the officials to attend to the requests of private hospitals in Bengaluru for ventilators.
