The Commerce and Industries Department of Karnataka has allowed industries to restart in rural areas of specified COVID-19 Unaffected Districts.
On Monday, Principal Secretary Gaurav Gupta issued an order directing that industries which are eligible to operate in specified COVID-19 Unaffected Districts shall submit a Self-Declaration of adhering to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to the concernedDistrict Industries Centre before starting the unit.
The order also allows certain industries, including IT/ITeS companies, to operate in urban areas and all industries in rural areas outside the containment zones in Red zone, Orange zone and Green zone districts.
Eligible industries, IT/ITES companies, data/call centres, telecommunication and internet services, and incubators shall submit an online Self-Declaration of adhering to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) through the link ‘COVID-19 SELF DECLARATION’ provided in the website www.kum.karnataka.gov.in before starting operations.
Essential and other category industries, which were permitted to operate earlier, are also required to submit the online Self-Declaration.
