In a significant development, Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board President Darakhshan Andrabi has lauded the Union Home Ministry’s recent ban on the Jammu and Kashmir Ittihadul Muslimeen (JKIM) and Awami Action Committee (AAC). Both organizations were prohibited for allegedly threatening national security and peace in the valley.
