Bengaluru: The Justice P.N. Desai Commission, which investigated alleged irregularities in site allotments by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), has given a clean chit to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his family, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H.K. Patil announced on Friday.
Speaking to reporters after the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Siddaramaiah at Vidhana Soudha, Patil said the Desai Commission was constituted by the state government to probe allegations of illegal site distribution in MUDA.
“The Commission carried out a detailed inquiry and submitted its report to the government. The report does not mention any charges against the Chief Minister or his family. However, it recommends action against certain officials. The cabinet has accepted these recommendations and will initiate appropriate steps,” Patil stated.
