KALABURAGI:
A glass ceiling has been broken as IAS officer (2010 batch) Vasireddy Vijaya Jyotsna was appointed Deputy Commissioner of Kalaburagi district on Saturday, making her the first woman to head the district.
Deputy Commissioner of Kalaburagi Sharat B has been transferred to Mysuru, replacing DC Abhiram G Sankar.
Jyotsna had earlier served as Assistant Commissioner of Sedam in Kalaburagi district in 2013 from February 18 to June 15, September 5 to December 12 and December 29 to December 31.
She has also served as CEO of Raichur District Panchayat, Chitradurga District Collector and Secretary of the Building Welfare Board.
