BENGALURU:
It took six working days for the Karnataka government to issue an official order banning online classes upto Class 5.
Last week, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Suresh Kumar had announced a ban on online classes from LKG/UKG till class 5, but a few educational institutions had continued with these classes on the ground that they had not received an official communications from the government.
On Monday, a formal order was issued directing all schools across all boards to stop online classes for children from kindergarten to Class 5. The order further stipulated that fees should not be collected from parents in the name of online education.
