The Karnataka gold smuggling case involving Kannada actress Ranya Rao has prompted Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar to refute rumors of ministerial involvement, calling them ‘political gossips’. Rao was apprehended with gold bars worth Rs 12.56 crore upon her arrival in Bengaluru.
