Bengaluru: Karnataka Lokayukta has released the names of five ministers, 67 members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), and 28 members of the Legislative Council who have failed to submit their own and their family members’ asset and liability declarations within the stipulated time.
The ministers who did not submit the asset declarations include K.H. Muniyappa, Dinesh Gundurao, Zameer Ahmad Khan, Raheem Khan, and K. Venkatesh.
Among the MLAs, notable names include Lakshman Savadi, Ashok Mahadeppa Patil, Vijayanand Kashappanavar, Vitthal Dondiba Katakdond, M.Y. Patil, Allam Prabhu Patil, Kaneez Fatima, Sharanu Salgar, and Siddu Patil, among others.
Other MLAs listed are Basanagouda Turvihal, Janardhan Reddy, Basavaraj Rayareddy, Raghavendra Basavaraj Hitnal, Gurupadagouda Sangangouda Patil, N.H. Konareddy, Vinay Kulkarni, Satish Krishna Sail, Dinakar Keshav Shetty, Basavaraj Neelappa Shivannanavar, and G.N. Ganesh.
The list further includes N.V. Gopalakrishna, M. Chandrappa, Latha Mallikarjun, K.S. Basavantappa, Sharada Poornya Naik, B.K. Sangameshwar, T.D. Rajegowda, Nayana Motamma, G.H. Srinivas, Anand K.S. Suresh Babu, Dr. H.D. Ranganath, B. Suresh Gowda, H.V. Venkatesh, K.H. Puttaswamy Gowda, S.N. Subbareddy, B.N. Ravikumar, G.K. Venkateshivareddy, and Samruddhi Manjunath.
Council members who failed to submit include Salim Ahmad, H. Vishwanath, Abdul Zabar, M.L. Anil Kumar, Basanagouda Badarli, Govindaraju, Ivan D’Souza, T.N. Javarayigouda, C.N. Manjegowda, Dr. M.G. Mule, and N. Nagaraju (entb).
Other council members listed are Naseer Ahmad, K.S. Naveen, Pradeep Shettar, P.H. Poojar, Rajendra Rajanna, Ramojigouda, Shashil G. Namoshi, S.V. Sankanur, Sunil Valyapur, Sanilgauda Patil, T.A. Sharavana, Y.M. Satish, Suraj Revanna, H.P. Sudham Das, Tippannappa Kamakanur, Dr. D. Timmayya, and K. Vivekananda.
The Planning and Statistics Department Minister D. Sudhakar, MLAs B.M. Nagaraju, M.T. Krishnappa, Yaseer Ahmad Khan Pathan, and Council member Chidanand M. Goud have reportedly submitted their asset details after the prescribed deadline, according to the Lokayukta.
As per Section 22(1) and (7) of the Lokayukta Act, all members of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council are mandated to submit their own and their family members’ detailed asset declarations annually before June 30 to the Lokayukta in the prescribed format.
