Bengaluru sees 23,706 cases, 139 deaths
BENGALURU:
Karnataka on Thursday reported 49,058 COVID-19 deaths and 328 related deaths, taking the total caseload and fatalities to 17.90 lakh and 17,212 respectively, the health department said.
Bengaluru Urban alone accounted for 23,706 infections.
The day also saw 18,943 patients getting discharged.
Cumulatively, 17,90,104 positive cases have been confirmed in Karnataka, which includes 17,212 deaths and 12,55,797 discharges, a health department bulletin said.

Active cases stood at 5,17,075.
Mysuru followed Bengaluru Urban in number of infections with 2,531, while it was 2,418 in Tumakuru, 1,652 in Kalaburagi, 1,526 in Udupi, 1,403 in Hassan, 1,301 in Mandya, 1,191 in Dakshina Kannada.
Among the 328 deaths reported on Wednesday, Bengaluru Urban accounted for 139, 26 in Ballari, 18 in Mysuru, 16 in Shivamogga, 14 each from Kalaburagi and Tumakuru, 12 in Kodagu, followed by other districts.
